The Family Cookbook (2024)

This is a family cookbook, a record of our life as a family and something to pass along to keep the family tied together as we move away from the life the four of us lived together—a couple of glorious decades of meals and stories and laughter and beauty and some tough talks and rough times. I dream of my grandchildren using it, extending the reach of how we cooked and ate here in Portland from 2007 to 2022, and maybe also great-grandchildren I may never meet, for whom I'm nothing but stories—legends, ideally, but I'd settle for stories. And maybe great-great grandchildren.
